# OpticsPlanet.com vs Advendtech

The clearest difference is update cadence: Advendtech at every 2 days against OpticsPlanet.com's every 5 weeks. Advendtech also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). OpticsPlanet.com's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for OpticsPlanet.com against 5.0 for Advendtech. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OpticsPlanet.com has 15K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OpticsPlanet.com ships an update every 5 weeks, Advendtech every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
