# File Getter vs Enigma2 Editor

The clearest difference is rating: Enigma2 Editor at 5.0 against File Getter's 4.4. Enigma2 Editor also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). File Getter's advantage is price ($0.99 vs $9.99) and review sentiment (50% vs 29%). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

File Getter costs $0.99 and Enigma2 Editor $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Enigma2 Editor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: File Getter has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of File Getter's written reviews are positive against 29% of Enigma2 Editor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

File Getter ships an update every 3 weeks, Enigma2 Editor weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
