# Touch Pad vs Remote Trackpad

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Touch Pad at none against Remote Trackpad's 4. Touch Pad also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.0 vs 3.8). Remote Trackpad's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (39 vs 1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote Trackpad sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Touch Pad asks for nothing beyond the download.

Touch Pad holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remote Trackpad has 39 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Touch Pad's written reviews are positive against 15% of Remote Trackpad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Touch Pad ships an update every 26 months, Remote Trackpad every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
