# ecoUnit vs FBO Request

The clearest difference is update cadence: FBO Request at every 2 months against ecoUnit's every 16 months. FBO Request also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ecoUnit ships an update every 16 months, FBO Request every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
