# Fawesome vs Section K

The clearest difference is rating: Fawesome at 4.7 against Section K's 3.9. Fawesome also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (11K vs 11). Section K's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fawesome holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fawesome has 11K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Fawesome's written reviews are positive against 60% of Section K's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fawesome ships an update weekly, Section K every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
