# Fawesome vs HBCU DIGITAL

The clearest difference is review sentiment: HBCU DIGITAL at 100% against Fawesome's 43%. HBCU DIGITAL also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Fawesome's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (11K vs 5). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HBCU DIGITAL holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fawesome has 11K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of Fawesome's written reviews are positive against 100% of HBCU DIGITAL's.

Fawesome ships an update weekly, HBCU DIGITAL every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
