# Fawesome vs Shiver

Fawesome and Shiver both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Shiver's written reviews are positive against 43% of Fawesome's. Shiver also leads on ads (none vs shown). Fawesome's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ratings volume (11K vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shiver sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Fawesome asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fawesome holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fawesome has 11K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Fawesome's written reviews are positive against 100% of Shiver's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fawesome ships an update weekly, Shiver every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
