# Reddit vs E

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: E at none against Reddit's 15. E also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Reddit's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (3.5M vs 1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Reddit sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. E asks for nothing beyond the download.

E holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Reddit has 3.5M ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Reddit ships an update every 6 days, E every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
