The clearest difference is review sentiment: Train Driver at the Station at 88% against Train Kit Junior's 42%. Train Kit Junior's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 15 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Train Driver at the Station sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Train Kit Junior sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
