# iG vs Flip

iG and Flip both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of iG's written reviews are positive against 76% of Flip's. Flip's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (696 vs 68). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for iG against 5.0 for Flip. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip has 696 ratings behind it against 68, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of iG's written reviews are positive against 76% of Flip's.

iG ships an update every 3 weeks, Flip every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
