# Stepik vs eLearning Courses

The clearest difference is rating: Stepik at 4.9 against eLearning Courses's 4.1. Stepik also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (908 vs 7). eLearning Courses's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and review sentiment (100% vs 69%). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepik sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. eLearning Courses asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stepik holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stepik has 908 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Stepik's written reviews are positive against 100% of eLearning Courses's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stepik ships an update weekly, eLearning Courses monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
