# Stepik vs Complex Calc

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Complex Calc at none against Stepik's 10. Stepik's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (909 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepik sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Complex Calc asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Stepik against 5.0 for Complex Calc. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stepik has 909 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Stepik ships an update weekly, Complex Calc every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
