# Stepik vs UPI Study

The clearest difference is update cadence: Stepik at weekly against UPI Study's every 3 months. Stepik also leads on ratings volume (908 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepik sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and UPI Study sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $99.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Stepik against 5.0 for UPI Study. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stepik has 908 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Stepik ships an update weekly, UPI Study every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
