# MyCal vs QR

The clearest difference is rating: MyCal at 4.4 against QR's 3.0. MyCal also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 33%) and ratings volume (253 vs 2). QR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyCal sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and QR sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyCal holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyCal has 253 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of MyCal's written reviews are positive against 33% of QR's.

MyCal ships an update every 3 months, QR every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
