# GeoShred vs AX

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GeoShred at 91% against AX's 22%. GeoShred also leads on rating (4.8 vs 1.5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). AX's advantage is price (Free vs $24.99) and in-app purchases (none vs 27). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

AX is free to download; GeoShred costs $24.99 up front. GeoShred sells 25 one-off in-app purchases. AX asks for nothing beyond the download.

GeoShred holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GeoShred has 1.4K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 91% of GeoShred's written reviews are positive against 22% of AX's.

GeoShred ships an update fortnightly, AX every 8 months. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
