# SusieCakes vs Empty Vase

The clearest difference is monetization model: Empty Vase at free against SusieCakes's free with in-app purchases. Empty Vase also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). SusieCakes's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for SusieCakes against 5.0 for Empty Vase. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SusieCakes has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SusieCakes ships an update every 3 months, Empty Vase every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
