# Trace Me Smart ID vs Washnet

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Washnet at 43 against Trace Me Smart ID's 1. Washnet also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Trace Me Smart ID's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 17%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Washnet holds the better App Store score, 1.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Washnet has 43 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Trace Me Smart ID's written reviews are positive against 17% of Washnet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Trace Me Smart ID ships an update every 6 months, Washnet every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
