# Footpatrol vs Librairies

The clearest difference is ads: Footpatrol at none against Librairies's shown. Librairies's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Footpatrol ships an update every 3 weeks, Librairies every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
