# Skyeng vs Impulse LMS

The clearest difference is rating: Skyeng at 4.8 against Impulse LMS's 4.0. Skyeng also leads on ratings volume (2K vs 3). Impulse LMS's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (80% vs 46%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skyeng sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Impulse LMS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Skyeng holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skyeng has 2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Skyeng's written reviews are positive against 80% of Impulse LMS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
