# Impromptu Topic Generator vs Credible

The clearest difference is rating: Credible at 4.4 against Impromptu Topic Generator's 3.2. Credible also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (240 vs 5). Impromptu Topic Generator's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Credible sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Impromptu Topic Generator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Credible holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Credible has 240 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Impromptu Topic Generator's written reviews are positive against 50% of Credible's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
