# EveryPlace vs Scratch My Map

The clearest difference is rating: Scratch My Map at 5.0 against EveryPlace's 3.9. Scratch My Map also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). EveryPlace's advantage is ratings volume (204 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EveryPlace sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Scratch My Map asks for nothing beyond the download.

Scratch My Map holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EveryPlace has 204 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of EveryPlace's written reviews are positive against 50% of Scratch My Map's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EveryPlace ships an update every 6 weeks, Scratch My Map every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
