# XPlayer vs DanSync

The clearest difference is update cadence: DanSync at every 5 days against XPlayer's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. XPlayer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and DanSync sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

XPlayer ships an update every 3 months, DanSync every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
