# Frank Energy vs Grid Connect

The clearest difference is update cadence: Frank Energy at weekly against Grid Connect's every 4 months. Frank Energy also leads on review sentiment (45% vs 32%). Grid Connect's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (69 vs 12). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Grid Connect holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grid Connect has 69 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of Frank Energy's written reviews are positive against 32% of Grid Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Frank Energy ships an update weekly, Grid Connect every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
