# Alarm & Timer vs Alarm ®

The clearest difference is ads: Alarm ® at none against Alarm & Timer's shown. Alarm & Timer's advantage is ratings volume (2.2K vs 116) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alarm & Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Alarm ® sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Alarm & Timer against 4.4 for Alarm ®. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alarm & Timer has 2.2K ratings behind it against 116, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Alarm & Timer ships an update every 3 weeks, Alarm ® every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
