# Read Scripture vs ENE

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Read Scripture at 1.8K against ENE's 4. ENE's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ENE holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Read Scripture has 1.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of Read Scripture's written reviews are positive against 100% of ENE's.

Read Scripture ships an update every 5 weeks, ENE weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
