# DaTalk vs Moji

The clearest difference is rating: Moji at 4.6 against DaTalk's 4.0. Moji also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 585). DaTalk's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 36%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DaTalk sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Moji sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Moji holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 585 and 2.8K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of DaTalk's written reviews are positive against 36% of Moji's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DaTalk ships an update every 3 weeks, Moji every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
