# Cookie Management vs ParentLedger

The clearest difference is rating: ParentLedger at 5.0 against Cookie Management's 3.9. ParentLedger also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 62%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). Cookie Management's advantage is ratings volume (55 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cookie Management sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and ParentLedger sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ParentLedger holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cookie Management has 55 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Cookie Management's written reviews are positive against 100% of ParentLedger's.

Cookie Management ships an update fortnightly, ParentLedger every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
