# Flex Remote for Kodi vs TV Remote

The clearest difference is rating: TV Remote at 4.4 against Flex Remote for Kodi's 3.6. TV Remote also leads on ratings volume (3.2K vs 5). Flex Remote for Kodi's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flex Remote for Kodi sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TV Remote sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TV Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Remote has 3.2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Flex Remote for Kodi's written reviews are positive against 31% of TV Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
