# AUB Mobile vs Cengage Read

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AUB Mobile at 100% against Cengage Read's 20%. AUB Mobile also leads on iOS requirement (10.1 vs 18). Cengage Read's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.3) and ratings volume (4.1K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cengage Read holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cengage Read has 4.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of AUB Mobile's written reviews are positive against 20% of Cengage Read's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AUB Mobile ships an update every 7 months, Cengage Read every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
