# Countdown Timer vs Countdown@

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Countdown Timer at 76% against Countdown@'s 37%. Countdown Timer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (5 vs 3). Countdown@'s advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (39K vs 371). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Timer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Countdown@ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown@ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown@ has 39K ratings behind it against 371, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Countdown Timer's written reviews are positive against 37% of Countdown@'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Countdown Timer ships an update every 3 weeks, Countdown@ every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 8, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
