# Bagan Keyboard vs Prefix App

The clearest difference is rating: Prefix App at 5.0 against Bagan Keyboard's 4.0. Prefix App also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Bagan Keyboard's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (853 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prefix App sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Bagan Keyboard asks for nothing beyond the download.

Prefix App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bagan Keyboard has 853 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Bagan Keyboard's written reviews are positive against 37% of Prefix App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bagan Keyboard ships an update every 2 months, Prefix App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
