# SimpleLink™ Wi vs TV Plus

The clearest difference is rating: TV Plus at 4.3 against SimpleLink™ Wi's 1.0. TV Plus also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (22K vs 3). SimpleLink™ Wi's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV Plus sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. SimpleLink™ Wi asks for nothing beyond the download.

TV Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TV Plus has 22K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SimpleLink™ Wi ships an update every 10 months, TV Plus every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
