# Write notes on the screen vs Note Widget +

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Note Widget + at 78% against Write notes on the screen's 25%. Note Widget + also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 27 months) and ratings volume (445 vs 29). Write notes on the screen's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Write notes on the screen sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Note Widget + sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Write notes on the screen holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Note Widget + has 445 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Write notes on the screen's written reviews are positive against 78% of Note Widget +'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Write notes on the screen ships an update every 27 months, Note Widget + monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
