# Cloud2 VMS vs Defender 24

The clearest difference is rating: Defender 24 at 4.7 against Cloud2 VMS's 2.9. Defender 24 also leads on ratings volume (3.4K vs 25) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). Cloud2 VMS's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Defender 24 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Defender 24 has 3.4K ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Cloud2 VMS's written reviews are positive against 34% of Defender 24's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cloud2 VMS ships an update every 5 months, Defender 24 every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
