# PECO Modellers' Library vs TreeID

The clearest difference is rating: PECO Modellers' Library at 4.8 against TreeID's 3.7. PECO Modellers' Library also leads on ratings volume (12 vs 3) and iOS requirement (11.2 vs 15.1). TreeID's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 15 months) and review sentiment (40% vs 15%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PECO Modellers' Library sells 17 one-off in-app purchases and TreeID sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PECO Modellers' Library holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of PECO Modellers' Library's written reviews are positive against 40% of TreeID's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PECO Modellers' Library ships an update every 15 months, TreeID every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
