# TextEdit vs Text Editor by Qrayon

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Text Editor by Qrayon at 53% against TextEdit's 17%. Text Editor by Qrayon also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 26.0). TextEdit's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 3.3) and ratings volume (378 vs 11). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextEdit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Text Editor by Qrayon asks for nothing beyond the download.

TextEdit holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TextEdit has 378 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of TextEdit's written reviews are positive against 53% of Text Editor by Qrayon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
