# TextEdit vs Konspektor

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Konspektor at 100% against TextEdit's 17%. Konspektor also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.2 vs 26.0). TextEdit's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (380 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextEdit sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Konspektor asks for nothing beyond the download.

TextEdit holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TextEdit has 380 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of TextEdit's written reviews are positive against 100% of Konspektor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TextEdit ships an update weekly, Konspektor every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
