# 암기고래 vs Scribo

The clearest difference is rating: Scribo at 5.0 against 암기고래's 4.7. Scribo also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). 암기고래's advantage is ratings volume (86 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 암기고래 sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Scribo sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scribo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 암기고래 has 86 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 88% and 88% positive.

암기고래 ships an update every 2 weeks, Scribo every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
