# The Pattern vs Terrestream

The clearest difference is rating: Terrestream at 5.0 against The Pattern's 4.0. Terrestream also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). The Pattern's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 1) and chart position (#32 vs unranked). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Pattern sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Terrestream asks for nothing beyond the download.

Terrestream holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Pattern has 16K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
