# The Pattern vs Chorus

The clearest difference is rating: The Pattern at 4.0 against Chorus's 2.7. The Pattern also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (16K vs 6). Chorus's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Pattern sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Chorus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Pattern holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Pattern has 16K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of The Pattern's written reviews are positive against 25% of Chorus's.

The Pattern ships an update weekly, Chorus every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
