# Imazing vs Text Message Export

The clearest difference is rating: Imazing at 3.3 against Text Message Export's 2.7. Imazing also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 2 months). Text Message Export's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 0%) and ratings volume (25 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text Message Export sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Imazing asks for nothing beyond the download.

Imazing holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Text Message Export has 25 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Imazing's written reviews are positive against 25% of Text Message Export's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Imazing ships an update every 5 weeks, Text Message Export every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
