# EmojiCal vs TimeSet

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EmojiCal at none against TimeSet's 1. EmojiCal also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). TimeSet's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TimeSet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. EmojiCal asks for nothing beyond the download.

EmojiCal ships an update every 3 months, TimeSet every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
