# Flipd vs FreeTime

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FreeTime at 96% against Flipd's 49%. FreeTime also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.5). Flipd's advantage is ratings volume (7K vs 9) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flipd sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and FreeTime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FreeTime holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flipd has 7K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 49% of Flipd's written reviews are positive against 96% of FreeTime's.

Flipd ships an update every 11 days, FreeTime every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
