# Flipd vs Coast

The clearest difference is rating: Coast at 5.0 against Flipd's 4.5. Flipd's advantage is ratings volume (7K vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flipd sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Coast sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coast holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flipd has 7K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flipd ships an update every 11 days, Coast weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
