# Flipd vs Echo Focus

The clearest difference is rating: Flipd at 4.5 against Echo Focus's 3.0. Flipd also leads on ratings volume (7K vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Echo Focus's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 days). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flipd sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Echo Focus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flipd holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flipd has 7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 49% and 50% positive.

Flipd ships an update every 11 days, Echo Focus every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
