# Flipd vs Focus Friend

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Focus Friend at 100% against Flipd's 49%. Focus Friend also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Flipd's advantage is ratings volume (7K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flipd sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Focus Friend sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus Friend holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flipd has 7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 49% of Flipd's written reviews are positive against 100% of Focus Friend's.

Flipd ships an update every 11 days, Focus Friend every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
