# Classix vs Hooked TV

The clearest difference is monetization model: Classix at free with in-app purchases against Hooked TV's subscription. Classix also leads on device support (5 vs 2) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). Hooked TV's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Classix sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Hooked TV sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hooked TV holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4K and 12K respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 29% of Classix's written reviews are positive against 37% of Hooked TV's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 13, 2026.
