# Classix vs iON TV

The clearest difference is rating: Classix at 4.5 against iON TV's 2.5. Classix also leads on ratings volume (4K vs 11) and device support (5 vs 3). iON TV's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Classix sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. iON TV asks for nothing beyond the download.

Classix holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Classix has 4K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
