# Fast Notes vs Onlynote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Fast Notes at none against Onlynote's 1. Onlynote's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (93 vs 16). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Onlynote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Fast Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Fast Notes against 4.8 for Onlynote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Onlynote has 93 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Fast Notes's written reviews are positive against 75% of Onlynote's.

Fast Notes ships an update every 6 months, Onlynote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
