# Fast Notes vs SecureVault

The clearest difference is price: Fast Notes at Free against SecureVault's $0.99. Fast Notes also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (16 vs 1). SecureVault's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 67%). On update cadence, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Fast Notes is free to download; SecureVault costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fast Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fast Notes has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Fast Notes's written reviews are positive against 100% of SecureVault's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fast Notes ships an update every 6 months, SecureVault every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
